Senator Schmitt, Senator Reverend Warnock Introduce Resolution Celebrating Father’s Day

WASHINGTON – Today, Senator Eric Schmitt along with Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) introduced a resolution celebrating Father’s Day and the important role fathers play in the lives of children:

“Fathers play a vital role in every aspect of a child’s life. They play a crucial role in ensuring that their sons and daughters grow into successful and caring members of society and good citizens, especially when those sons and daughters become parents themselves. I know my dad played an important role in my upbringing and is my role model. Being a father myself, while definitely challenging at times, has been the most rewarding experience of my life. As a society, we need to stress the importance of fatherhood and celebrate those fathers who work hard to give their kids the support they need to achieve their full potential. I’m pleased to partner with Senator Reverend Warnock on this important issue,” said Senator Schmitt.

“I’m glad to partner with Senator Schmitt in this bipartisan effort to honor Father’s Day and recognize the pivotal role fathers play in the lives of our children,” said Senator Reverend Warnock. “As the proud father of two wonderful children, I see firsthand how being actively engaged in their lives contributes to their growth and wellbeing. We know that dedicated fathers enhance the overall health and quality of life for mothers and babies alike, which helps decrease maternal mortality and keep our families strong. I’m proud to offer this bipartisan resolution, and I hope it starts a long overdue conversation in the Senate about the importance of fatherhood.”
