Senator Schmitt Statement on Passing of Senator Jean Carnahan

WASHINGTON – Senator Eric Schmitt released the following statement about the passing of Sen. Jean Carnahan:

“Today, Missourians are mourning the loss of Sen. Jean Carnahan. Jean served Missouri proudly as First Lady of Missouri to her late husband Governor Mel Carnahan and then as a United States Senator, and stayed active in politics following her tenure in the Senate. While we may not have agreed on everything, Jean lived an incredible life, and my prayers go out to her family and loved ones as they grieve this loss.”
