Senator Schmitt Slams Radicals for Attacking ICE Agents on the Ingraham Angle
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) appeared on Fox News’ Ingraham Angle to discuss the concerning rise in violence against ICE agents and his bill to increase penalties for those who attack agents.

Schmitt on the Rise of Violence Against ICE Agents:
“They need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Penalties should be expanded, which is what my legislation does. You need law enforcement to prosecute these people. I think, Laura, that this is a very dangerous game they are playing. They lost this issue at the ballot box. They are losing now in the courts because President Trump is able to do what he said he was going to do, which is mass deportations. All they have left now the Marxist playbook, which is political violence. That needs to be confronted swiftly and severely through prosecutions. That’s the only thing that’s going to matter is if you throw these folks behind bars for 40 years and send a loud message because that’s what the statute allows.

“Here is what is interesting about this masking issue. These are the same people that wanted to mask our 5-year-olds when they went to school all day long, right? But they don’t think ICE agents should be able to protect themselves with masks. They want the identities of ICE agents so they can harass and injure them and their family. I think they have lost on this issue. I can’t actually believe, Laura, that the hill that they are going to die on is illegal immigration. What you won’t hear any Democrat – they may condemn some violence – but you will never hear any of them say that you need to take a step back let the ICE agents do their jobs because they believe in open borders and they don’t think anybody who is here illegally should be sent home.

“Look, all they have to display is that they are with the police or ICE. That’s what the law requires. This is just dangerous. And you can see through what this really is. What they really want is their identities revealed so they can intimidate, harass or injure. This isn’t going to stop. President Trump, Tom Homan, and everybody at DHS are fully committed to meeting mass migration with mass deportation. There’s $800 million a year funneling through NGOs fueled mass migration, which by the way we are defunding through the rescissions package this week. The guy swinging the hammer and driving the truck was sending money to Washington and it was going to NGOs to fuel mass migration. Now Democrats object to illegal immigrants being sent home. Again, mass migration must be met swiftly with mass deportation.
