Senator Schmitt Helps Introduce Bill to Expand President’s Authority to Deport Criminal Illegal Immigrants
WASHINGTON — Today, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) joined Senator Ashley Moody (R-FL) in introducing the Expedited Removal of Criminal Aliens Act to expand the President’s authority to deport criminal illegal immigrants. This legislation is critical to supporting President Trump’s immigration priorities and allows for swift correction to the Biden administration’s disastrous border policies.
“Four years ago, Joe Biden opened our southern border and allowed millions of illegal immigrants to enter the country with no legal consequences. These illegal immigrants who broke the law to come into our country are not due the same process as American citizens. The Supreme Court and the Constitution agree, and it’s time we expand the expedited removal process to allow the President to secure our homeland,” said Senator Eric Schmitt.
