Senator Schmitt Statement on President Trump’s Nominees for the Eastern District of Missouri

Praises Trump for Strengthening Federal Judiciary

WASHINGTON –Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) released the following statement after President Trump announced his first slate of judicial nominees, which included four Judges for the Eastern District of Missouri: Hon. Cristian Stevens, Maria Lanahan, Zachary Bluestone, and Joshua Divine, who will also serve the Western District of Missouri.

“I am thrilled that President Trump’s first slate of judicial nominees will serve the Eastern District of Missouri. All four nominees worked for me in the Missouri Attorney General’s office and together we fought each day for Missourians across our state. President Trump’s historic transformation of our federal judiciary was among the greatest successes of his first term, and with these well qualified, proven nominees President Trump is continuing that legacy,” said Senator Eric Schmitt.
